I've previously shared my love for Bookcrossing and Little Free Libraries., and I always strive to ensure that the books I leave behind reflect the richness of our diverse world—so that there's something for everyone to enjoy and learn from.
Growing up in a deeply conservative Bible Belt state, I saw firsthand the inequities that exist in many aspects of life. Over the years, I've made it my mission to help bridge those gaps, to contribute to a world where diversity is celebrated, knowledge is accessible, and no one has to fear discrimination simply for being who they are.
Lately, it has been more challenging. The rise in book bans—something I once thought unthinkable, even in Mississippi—reminds us that progress is never guaranteed. But history has shown us time and again that when faced with obstacles, we rise. And we will rise again.
Diversity is a strength.
Equity is a right.
Inclusion is the future.
We may still be far from a world free of inequality, but I believe with all my heart that it is possible. And together, we will make it so.
