Dapper Dude

This charming painting of a dapper cat was created by my dear friend, Dinah Kertz. With its whimsical style and personality, it stands out as one of my favorite pieces from her collection.

Gatito Bonito

Stalking the streets in search of pets and treats, these friendly locals are always on the prowl. They offer purrs of satisfaction—not so much for the pets, but for the treats they know are coming. It's a full-on mission to charm their way into your snack stash, and honestly, who could resist?

Paws

My life has been touched by many people… But not just people.  I wanted to take a moment and remember the furry ones from my past that have touched my soul.   They have had a profound impact on who I am and I think of them often.

Celeste

Celeste passed from our world at around 4:30 on 15OCT.  She was anywhere from 16-17 years old.

I will never forget the moment we saw her at the petstore.  Already middle aged at 8; she was eager for love and attention though glass separated us.  She had been returned three times by three different families.   All these years later I never will understand why anyone would have returned her.  She was such a sweet girl always willing to give love and attention.

She made a lasting impact on my life and I will always hold her in my heart.

Celeste

Every day when I come home I am always greeted with a, “Hello.”  Granted it is usually more along the lines of… “Hey, you’re home… I can see the silver in my food bowl… so It’s basically empty and you don’t want me to starve right?  Oh and can you please clean the litterbox.”   How she can fit all of that into a meow or two is definitely beyond me.

Curiosity

Curiosity is a quality I feel that many people loose as they grow older. I feel that we need to remember to be curious, to explore the world around us. Just as Muffin has explored this tree… we too need to climb trees, and see what is around us. As children we did this, now we are complacent… that could be our downfall.

Killer

In December of 2008 I moved, and the cats that I loved and lived with for four years remained with my former room mate. I have missed the creatures in my life, I have my frog Georgia, but it is not the same, and for over a year I longed for the purr of a cat. Now since my move last week, I find myself with some new fur-friends, and I am pleased. There is no love like love sent from a fur friend, unconditional and ever lasting. When I snapped this photo of “Killer” he was playing with my feet, and then he realized I was taking photos… and started posing. He and I will get along well!

naïveté

The best things at times are when realizing that you have to face the world around you, and fight the adversity that is thrown at you. These help make you grow into a stronger person, and help shed the naïveté that once clouded your vision, and grow into someone you can be proud of.

New

Everything feels new, I’m not sure how else to describe it. My days are better, my nights are wondrous… and my heart flutters. ..

If I could write the beauty of your eyes,And in fresh numbers number all your graces,The age to come would say 'This poet lies;

Daisy, Daisy, Daisy!

Daisy is my friend Meredith’s baby kitty, and she is already a mess. Dani, Jason, Echo and I were watching Daisy play last night, and she was just so funny with her samba-like pouncing. However the funniest moment would have to be when she was playing with me, and somehow got stuck in between the couch cushions… it was so adorable.

Callie-Allie-Boo-Boo

Callie has her moments, and she can be a handful. While I was wrapping presents, it peaked her interest and she had to come play with the paper. Well I took a moment to get some extra tape and she decided to lie on the paper and prepare to be the next gift under the tree… I thought it was adorable.
