Hometown

No matter where the future takes me, no matter the distant shores I walk… this will always be my hometown. The place where I spent my formative years, the place where memories and bonds were created. I crawled up an over pass in traffic to get this photo, it is a photo I have always wanted to take. It shows Pearson Road in Pearl, Mississippi looking North from the I20 Overpass.

And so it should remain the cornerstone of your memories and of your affections. I agree with you totally.

At first I thought you'd reversed the photo - then remembered you drive on the wrong side of the road lol
Nice blue sky without a cloud in the sky - lots of takeway places there, is it a main road into town?

Somehow a road leading to a first home always awakens a road of memories! Lovely thoughts with a lovely photo!

I agree no matter where we go there is always a part in our being that we long for our hometown. Love the photo and the blue sky, happy weekend!

You crawled up where? What a great shot, though. Actually, it reminds me of a number of places - the homogenizing of America! Either that, or I've been here many times!
