Happiness

Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.

~Buddha

I took this photo during my first visit to Chùa Đạo Quang a Buddhist temple in North Garland.   It was a wonderful experience and the building is beautiful.  For me it was a growth opportunity to see and participate in a culture's religious rituals I had never experienced before.

Heaven Around Us

When I was a kid I would always imagine that Heaven was literally above us in the clouds.  When I closed my eyes I could see the clouds everywhere and the sun shining between them.   When I first flew and went above the clouds, it was exactly as I had always imagined heaven to be.  No matter how many times I fly, I am just mesmerized by what lies just outside the window.

Yellow Plane

One of my favorite radio programs is the BBC presentation called, Cabin Pressure.   If you have never listened and enjoy a good laugh you should check it out.   One of the characters claims that everyone is always playing a game called, “yellow car,”  the winner is the one who sees the most yellow cars during the trip.   Obviously, he has never seen a Spirit Airlines plane…  so…

Yellow Plane!

 Plane trumps car.

I win.

Funday

I took this action shot at the Dallas Alan Ross Pride Parade on 17SEP.   I loved it... I hope you all enjoy it too!

Bailey

Definitely and old guy with a heart of gold.  At 12 he can be crotchety, but believe me he has no problem keeping up with the whippersnappers… at least until they step out of line and onto his lawn.  He is for sure a cuddle-buddy and loves to play.

Celeste

Every day when I come home I am always greeted with a, “Hello.”  Granted it is usually more along the lines of… “Hey, you’re home… I can see the silver in my food bowl… so It’s basically empty and you don’t want me to starve right?  Oh and can you please clean the litterbox.”   How she can fit all of that into a meow or two is definitely beyond me.

Kai

I’ve known Kai since he was a drooling lanky puppy.  He has grown tremendously over the years and is by far one of the sweetest dogs I have ever had the privilege of knowing.  He doesn’t bark often and seldom growls and never in anger.  He sees a small puppy, he lays down to play with them at their level… even if they are barking and being otherwise unfriendly.   He shares kindness and love with everyone and everything he meets.  He shares love and kisses with anyone willing to show him love.

Boldly Going...

Star Trek has been one of my favorite shows for as long as I can remember.  I remember it coming on at night when I was staying at my friend’s house and eventually watching it on my own when I was home.  Since the 60’s we have had a glimpse into a potential future of hope and cooperation for humanity.  The themes explored through each of the series still resonate today and with the new chapter premiering today hopefully these themes will inspire a whole new generation that may not have been introduced to any of the previous series.  I have always wanted to be a part of the Star Trek universe and it inspired me to do theatre.  These drawings are as close as I have ever gotten to joining that world, just a glimpse of the amazement younger me had for this institution that will continue to boldly go where no one has gone before.

Live long and prosper.

Blessings

For every blessing in my life I can tell you at least one person that has helped make it happen. The ones in our lives are the true blessings.

Colors of Love

Love comes in all forms and colors.  It is easy for some to tell you that you are wrong… as long as you are in it for the right reasons, how can you be?

Light

In your darkest days there can be beauty and light, you just have to search for it.
