I love finding cute things in random places. This mouse adorned the checkout counter of a
Boba Shop. It was too cute to not take a
picture of. Things like this make the
day worth out, to go and find something just so adorable.

Spirits
I spent most of my formative years in this Pearl,
Mississippi house. It holds so many memories
for me both good and bad. I cannot
believe it is being sold.
This house remains one of the most interesting places I have
ever lived. I will always remember lying
in bed and listening to the sound of people walk down the halls. It never scared me; it just was. I also remember seeing a woman walk down the
hallway and hearing voices in rooms where people were not. It was unnerving at times; but it was always
fun living in a haunted house. I
remember when I first heard my mom and grandma mention to me about the
spirits. I had never heard them speak of
such things… it actually surprised me; but let me know that It was not just me
that experienced it. The weirdest thing was when things would
move. You couldn’t expect anything to
stay in one place, it would inexplicably move to another part of the room or
another room in general. You just never
knew what would happen.
I can’t help but wonder if my mom is now counted among the
spirits that reside at 306 Pearl Drive.
She passed away in the living room sleeping in her bed. She slept in there because she was an amputee
and getting around was easier than going into and down the hallway.
I wonder if she made friends with the other
spirits in the house too. In life, she
never met a stranger… I doubt death would stop her.

Wedded Bliss
August
1, 2020 was Amanda and Stephens big day... part two you might say. I officiated
the legal wedding back in April when COVID held off everything. I wasn’t
supposed to be the officiant but theirs was no longer available with the
postponement due to the pandemic I was able to step into the role. She
did the same for me when Doan and I were married.
Though
scaled back quite a bit; the wedding was beautiful. It was such an honor to be there for them as
they make this commitment to one another.

Skies in the World of Covid
A cargo flight takes off to parts unknown. The sky is usually full of planes carrying
people and goods all over the world. In
the new world we live in where COVID-19 is the reality; the skies are full of
cargo more than people going to parts unknown.
We can only hope that soon the skies will be full of joy again.

Luke
Luke is still learning; he is just 4 months old. He has brought much joy into our lives. He makes me laugh so much with his curiosity
and he is a good boy.

The Song of 2019
While in the middle of the Atlantic on the Enchantment of the Seas... somewhere likely around the Bahamas in the darkness of the night. This song was playing in one of the ships bars. I simply fell in love with it and It has grown to embody what the year means for me and how I feel about my life and my love at this moment in time.

Secrets
Throughout my life I have wanted to know the nature of the
universe. I have worked so hard to look
for intricacies and clues that would show me something, anything. I hoped that maybe I was special and that
whatever controlled the universe would whisper to me its secrets. It was only after growing a little older that
I realized that the secrets of the universe are meant to be just that…
secrets. All I need to do is continue to
go through my life and strive hard to be the best I can and slowly I will come
to know that there are no secrets.
Everything is there in front of us as long as we open our eyes and allow
ourselves to see.
